Parish Media was set up in 2007 by Jason Mawer and provides a range of services to the local media sector.
Following a move out of London, Jason became an avid reader of his local Parish magazine and was astonished to learn that it was run by volunteers on a tiny budget supplied by local business promotions. He quickly recognised that there was huge potential for development by helping them to raise extra revenue from advertising.
Jason explains “Parish magazines come in all shapes and sizes and perform an extremely important function right at the heart of the community. However, they are generally run by volunteers who don’t have the time to actively seek out potential local advertisers. Small local businesses also struggle to find the time to locate and contact publications to see if they can carry an advert.
Creating a communication channel between magazine editors and small business advertisers is the simple solution. Everyone wins – magazines get more funding, small business get more customers and the local community get more to read!”
Jason has a wealth of experience gained during a successful 14 year career at News International. He set up Parish Media and began trading in 2007.
Parish Media offers a range of services including an advertising brokerage, design consultancy and print production facility.
